Peg Perego’s Pliko P3 Classico and Pliko Switch Strollers – Review

Peg+Perego+Pliko+P3+Classico+Red+Bubbles Peg Peregos Pliko P3 Classico and Pliko Switch Strollers ReviewWhen I was recently asked to review Peg Perego’s Pliko P3 Classico and Pliko Switch strollers, I said wait a minute, I’ve owned this stroller for several years. It’s been a few years since my daughter has ridden in her stroller – but I still have it in my basement… let’s have a look at it.

I took a wet cloth down to my basement, I moved a bunch of boxes out of the way and I proceeded to clean up my old dusty Pliko stroller. This stroller, by the way, not including its original shipment to the states, has been transported across that Atlantic Ocean twice, across the Pacific Ocean once and its been hauled up to and through Canada. This is one well-traveled stroller.

After about 10 minutes of cleaning and the addition of some light oil on the moving parts… I essentially have a brand new stroller. I know that it doesn’t have all of the features that you’d get with the new Peg Perego strollers, but let me tell you what it does have.

My stroller is strong and durable. It has held up really, really well over the years. It’s made of the same lightweight aluminum that Peg Perego uses today to build their modern strollers. My stroller is lightweight and maneuverable. And did I mention durable?

The only thing wrong with my stroller is that it’s sitting idle in my basement. I guess I should donate it to someone who needs it, or perhaps I should sell it. Then again we could have another… hmmm.

Needless to say, I highly recommend the Peg Perego Pliko stroller. If you’re looking for a stroller that is super comfortable on the inside and rough and tough on the outside… look no further. Let’s take a look at Peg Perego’s 2009 Pliko strollers:

Stroller Features

The Pliko stroller has a lightweight aluminum frame – it weighs 16 lbs. yet it folds up nicely for storage and transportation.

The Pliko stroller has two carry handles – it can be carried or rolled vertically or it can be carried horizontally. One way or the other, when your little one is in your arms and needs some TLC… rest assured that you’ll be able to easily carry or roll your Pliko stroller.

The Pliko stroller works with the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP car seat & travel system. You can safely start using the Pliko stroller & Viaggio car seat combination when your child is literally days old.

This stroller also features a sturdy rear footboard for a second child. With this footboard, a child can safely stand and ride on the back of the stroller.

The comfortable contoured seat on the Pliko stroller has a 4-position backrest that adjusts from fully upright to a fully a reclined position. And the seat cover on the Pliko stroller is removable for hand-washing. In addition to the adjustable seat, you can also adjust the 2-position leg rest for maximum rider comfort.

All-wheel suspension combined with 4 extra-sturdy double wheels and spring suspension, ensures your child’s comfort over rough terrain. The front wheels swivel 360 degrees – which gives you a tight turning radius. This kind of maneuverability means that you can easily navigate your Pliko stroller in crowds, or on uneven surfaces, with confidence.

In addition to the wheels and the suspension features, the Pliko stroller is easy to maneuver because you have a good grip on the handles. The Pliko stroller features padded ergonomic handles that adjust in height, making it a pleasure to get around.

The rear wheels have a centralized brake cable that lets you, with a simple flip of a lever, lock and unlock both brakes at the same time.

The Pliko stroller has a 5-point safety harness – it safely holds your child in the stroller. The safety harness when combined with the brake system gives your child a safe ride and it gives you peace of mind.
